Brian Alexander just wrote a very well-reasoned piece in Outside Magazine about why you just might want to pull for Lance in the USADA’s “case” against him.
Basically, Alexander argues, if you want private corporations enforcing international and domestic law with the blessing of the US Congress and no checks-and-balances attached (including the waiver of basic constitutional rights), than route for the USADA. If that sort of arrangement scares the crud out of you (and it should), route for Lance. The implications here are huge, and – in fact – have to do with a whole lot more than just doping.
